Few Starting Tips: A solid step towards learning:

Before starting learning of Korean Language and for that matter, any foreign language, one should fulfill few prerequisites.

We will help you to answer those entire questions which will come into your mind in the course of learning foreign language.

1. Why to learn?

You should be clear in your mind that why you want to learn a foreign language. A correct answer to this will help you to define your learning procedure and your learning will also be streamlined towards your objective for learning. To explain it more, suppose you are learning Korean because you have some business plan in Korea then you have to stress more in learning business Korean and if you are learning just for fun or want to visit Korea as a tourist then you can have a more open and relaxed approach.

2. How to learn?

Well, answer to this question is very straight and yet very tricky. Learning of anything involves; learning basics, building on basics and then practicing what you have learnt. Same approach can be supported in learning of languages, but few more things are there which you should take care. First thing, “don't go fast!!” Languages when started from the basics need a bare minimum time to mature and settle down to obvious. So an immature hasten up step, may affect the quality of learning. There is no actual crash course in learning languages; you can make yourself acquaint with the language but not the actual learning. So be slow and steady and relish the process of learning.

3. What to learn? And what not to learn?

What “not to learn” is equally important as what all to learn. Languages with gradual affect of time change forms, some are like dialect, informal ways, slangs or even jargons. So when you start learning, always stick to basics and actual form of the language. Learn the most formal part first and when you are comfortable with the language, then try your hands in dialects. But never learn slangs, you may not know when you are in a fix, because of inadvertent usage of it.

4. How to increase vocabulary?

I mention to the point ideas. 1. Learn daily: Try to learn 5-10 words daily and repeat and revise those daily 2. Always keep a dictionary handy 3. Simply mugging up of words won’t help a lot, so try to use words in daily conversation. Make sentences and try to be innovative in word usage. 4. Learn words from different sources like magazines, newspapers, novels or even from consumer goods user’s manual.

5. How to improve listening power?

Listen to podcasts, they are freely available on net, listen to online radios, or you can enjoy movies too, one of my best way of learning.

6. How to increase speaking power?

There are three steps involved in this complete process of mastering speaking a foreign language.

1. Learn to be a good listener first, because until you adapt your ears to the foreign words you cannot technically master speaking.

2. Increase your vocabs; sometimes a single word can replace a complete sentence.

3. Master the correct pronunciation, a word wrongly pronounced is very dangerous business. And if possible try to befriend some natives; their guidance will help you a lot.
