Dative Particle

-, -에게/-한테, -

For persons or animals ‘-에게’ or ‘한테’ is used : ‘에’ is used for the rest.

Examples:

철수가 꽃에 물을 줍니다  Chulsoo is watering the flowers.
나무에 손을대지 마시오.  Please don’t touch the tree.

Dative particle ‘-에’ may be used in a variedty of ways as shown below.

When used with a ver associated with a momvement, it denotes the arrrival point of the movment.

Examples:

나는 하교에 갑니다. I go to school.
내일 우리 집에 오세요. Please come to our house tomorrow.
